I Will Be Long Gone

I can’t help but think
That this is all one big lie.
The words that you speak

Seem to fade as I realize
That you don’t mean any of it.
And I’m seeing behind the smile
On your face.

You use your smile to
Shield your lies but I see
Right through you.
You’ll never take away what

I love the most
And you will never destroy
Me like you had planned to
Because while you were busy

Trying to destroy my world
You didn’t see that I could
Could play this game too.
You never saw me coming

When I turned the tables on you
And showed you all that you have done.
But I won’t worry about
You or your words anymore

Because before you get the chance
To try to destroy me
I will be long gone.
