Locked Away

Honestly I don't know what to do.
You have left me in my time of need.
You have been locked away from me.

I can't bear the thought of what might happen to you,
That is too much for me to grasp.
I know you're in there because of me,
But you gladly took my place.

How am I supposed to go on?
When I know that you're imprisoned.
This is way too much for me,
You don't deserve any of it.

Love does crazy things to people.
Things that can't be explained.
Maybe that's why I pray that you have a safe return.
Trust me I'll do everything in my power to make you safe again,
Even if it kills me in the end.

As long as I know you're safe,
Then I will sleep better at night.
For now I will make plans for your rescue.
I will free you from this prison.
It's the least I can do,
For all that you have done for me.

I owe you that much don't I,
The girl can save the guy,
Remember that when I rescue you.
I may die before this is all over,
But just remember I have your best interest at heart.

While you are locked away at this moment,
I'll be planning your escape.
Hopefully I'll be alive to see you freed,
And hopefully we can make this work.
