My Mind

My mind plays games
Reminding me of the person I was
And not allowing me to see who I will become.
I am trapped in this place

And I can’t get out.
The voices become too loud
When you can’t shut them out.
The more you try to shut them out

The louder they become.
Louder and louder they become
Until you are no longer afraid of them.
Until you lose yourself.

The louder they get the
More you are reminded of how
Alone you really are.
My minds plays games

And we’re both playing.
I’m starting to think
That it may just win.
