Everything was perfect for her.
She could have anything she wanted,
But money couldn’t buy everything.
She loved her best friend.
He was everything to her
And so much more.
He understood her when everyone else didn’t.
He knew who she could be,
And that’s what she loved about him.
He loved her, for who she was,
And not what she had.
But she hurt him, she broke his heart,
And he broke hers.
She had no idea what the consequences
Of her actions were,
But they both paid the price.
The day she lost him,
Was the day her world shattered.
She lost the only guy she loved.
Her mistakes and her past caught up to her,
And she never meant for him to get caught in the cross fire.
She was heartbroken,
And she didn’t know what to do.
She would go to their old place,
And just sit there.
And while she was sitting there
She came across a piece of paper.
On that piece of paper
He wrote how much he loved her,
How much she meant to him?
He said how he remembered
That faithful night around the bonfire.
He remembered how they danced together,
But most of all he remembered when she kissed him.
The letter wrote how much that kiss meant to him
Even if it didn’t seem like it did.
She continued to read the letter,
And at the bottom of it he wrote
“I forgive you, and I’ve always loved you”
She became overwhelmed with gratitude.
She didn’t know he felt that way,
And now he’ll never know that she felt the same.
She sat there on the bench,
And shed a tear.
She shed her tears or pain and love.
Something she rarely does.
While she had her face in her hands crying,
He sat down beside her.
He just let her cry,
And said “everything is going to be okay”
She looked up and saw him there.
She couldn’t believe it.
She gave him the biggest hug
And said that she was sorry.
He said he knew she was sorry,
And she wondered how.
Then he told her,
He knew it when she shed a tear for him
That became the night of their lives.
That was the night she got her best friend back
And the night they vowed to be together forever.
