Trapped

Isolated in darkness
She feels as though
No one can see her.
She screams at the

Top of her lungs but
No one seems to hear her.
She is trapped in this darkness
Forever being swallowed

Up and spit back out
Only to find that she’s never
Getting out. Her damaged soul
Prevents her from leaving

How could she have broken
So easily when she looked
So strong on the outside?

No one knew what she felt.
No one knew how much pain
She was in because the smile
On her face was just a disguise

So no one would
Ever know the truth.
